How It Is Actually Made

Each Cool Watermelon Soap Sponge is a 200g bar of our 100% triple butter soap, handmade in the UK, built around mango butter, shea butter and cocoa butter. That combination is what stops it from leaving skin feeling stripped or tight the way a lot of standard soap bars can, especially if you shower daily. The sponge itself is baked into the bar, so you get the wash, the exfoliation and the massage action all from one product, rather than needing a separate scrub or loofah.

A single bar is designed to last around 30 uses, which puts it firmly in the category of things that are genuinely better value than they first look at £6.99, once you work out what you would otherwise spend on a bottle of body wash and a separate exfoliating tool.

The Honest Trade Offs

It would not be fair to only tell you the good bits. A soap sponge is not going to lather quite as fast or as generously as a liquid body wash straight out of the bottle, it needs a proper wet down and a few seconds of working it into the sponge before it builds a lather. If you are used to a pump dispenser and want something completely instant, that is a genuine adjustment. It also will not travel quite as neatly as a small trial-size bottle if you are packing hand luggage only, since it is a solid bar rather than a liquid, though that actually works in its favour for security queues.
