How to Get the Best Burn From It

A few honest tips, because we would rather you got real value from every tin:

• Let the first burn go until the melted wax reaches the full edge of the tin, usually an hour or so. This stops the candle "tunnelling" down the middle on later burns.
• Trim the wick to around 5mm before each lighting. A wick left too long will smoke and burn unevenly, and it wastes wax without giving you more scent.
• Keep it away from direct drafts. Reed diffusers and wax melts are more forgiving of airflow, but an open window right next to a lit candle will pull the flame around and burn it unevenly.
